If you've scrolled through Prime Video lately, you've probably seen a giant House of David banner ad right at the top. It’s one of the big draws of The Wonder Project, a faith-and-values streaming channel that lives inside Amazon's app. It's polished, popular and has a lot of parents asking: is this a Christian streaming service my kids should be watching?
The answer depends on who's watching. The Wonder Project was built for the whole household featuring mostly high production movies, and has a strong lean toward teens and adults. Yippee TV was built for kids first. Here’s how they compare.
The Wonder Project's website describes it as a subscription streaming service on Prime Video dedicated to “values-driven storytelling”. There isn't a standalone Wonder Project app as of right now. You add it as a channel inside the Prime Video app, the same way you'd add Starz or PBS Kids.
The Wonder Project streaming channel launched in October 2025, premiering the second season of House of David the same day. According to Christianity Today, the long-term plan is to become a direct-to-consumer app, but for now, Prime Video is its home.

The Wonder Project began as an independent film and TV studio founded by director Jon Erwin, known for I Can Only Imagine and Jesus Revolution. The former YouTube and Netflix executive Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten serves as CEO. When the studio publicly launched in December 2023, Deadline reported it had raised more than $75 million in funding, with The Chosen creator Dallas Jenkins on board as a shareholder and special advisor. The studio then partnered with Amazon MGM Studios to develop faith-based series and films for Prime Video.
House of David is the show that put Wonder Project on the map. Created by Jon Erwin, the series follows King David's rise from shepherd to king. Season one went out to all Prime Video members and drew 44 million viewers worldwide. Season two then became the channel's first exclusive.
A common question is, "Does Wonder Project only have movies?" No, the Wonder Project has a mix of films, series, specials, and documentaries. Wonder Project shows and movies include:

Yippee TV is streaming for Christian kids. It's a standalone app with no ads, no algorithms, and no sassy attitudes, and every show was picked with kids in mind.
Shows and movies on Yippee are either explicitly Christian, like the Daily Devo Show, VeggieTales, SuperBook, etc, or they’re vetted and approved for Christian kids. These shows include exclusive content from your kid’s favorite YouTubers, like Danny Go! or How Ridiculous, Minecraft builds, and a whole lot more.
Every title, faith-based or not, is vetted by both Christian parents and our network pastor, so it's appropriate for Christian families. You can read our standards in our content guidelines.
Kids bible lessons stick when kids actually want to watch and learn from them. Yippee TV Bible lessons can be found everywhere in series like:
The Wonder Project has epic Bible dramas like House of David and The Old Stories: Moses, but they're made for grown-up attention spans. A 60-minute battle-filled episode isn’t really appropriate for a 4th grader. The Daily Devo Show is.

Here's the biggest difference between the Yippee and The Wonder Project.
Wonder Project is like a well-curated shop inside a very large mall. The shop itself has lots of content we like. But to get there, you walk through Prime Video, which carries everything Amazon streams. Wonder Project's own FAQ notes that some of its titles are only a fit for older audiences, and it suggests checking ratings and using Prime Video's parental controls and kids profiles. That might work, but it puts the work of filtering and curating on you.
Yippee is it’s own platform. There's no bigger catalog around the corner, so your kids can feel free to explore the app in it’s entirety. We’ve already done the filtering and curating of every show ever reached the app.
If you're hunting for Christian movies on Amazon Prime, Wonder Project is a decent and easy route, especially for exclusives like House of David, Jesus Revolution, and Son of God.
Yippee is also available on Amazon Prime video if that’s your preferred platform, or on Amazon Fire TV and Fire tablets, along with our standalone app, Roku, Apple TV, Samsung, LG, Android TV, Xbox, iOS, and Android.
